A Beginner's Guide to Self-Discipline
We all want to achieve the goals, we set forth for ourselves, but most of the time, we just quit and start making excuses on why we can't. We aren't born with discipline, and it's a skill that you have to learn and preferably master.
Keep It Simple
Discipline is an effortless skill to master as you need to do one thing don't give in to your temptations. The only hard part is keeping your willpower active. So work on building your willpower by starting small. We all want to be healthy and physically fit, so start by doing like 1 mile a day or something little that lead toward your goal.

Set SMART Goals
The best way to keep it simple is by setting SMART goals-Just a short statement that needs to be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound-so it can lead you into the direction of what you want to achieve. The biggest problem is lack of direction, not lack of time as we all have 24hrs in a day and you can accomplish a lot no matter if you are working 10hrs a day seven days a week.
Identify What Make A Difference
If you are trying to get fit would you instead drink kale smoothies or go to the gym and put in more effort in your workouts. So pick something that is practical and will make a difference. Identify people to emulate that have already accomplished what you're aiming to. Ask them how they did it then use their experience to help build you on your journey to achieve your goal.
Give yourself an honest review to see where you can improve. What's working and what's not working so you can find our weak points. Judging your progress consistently will allow you to become more self-aware about yourself and your day.
Ask what went well? Where were you tested? Where did you quit on your discipline? Where can you do better? But don't beat yourself up, fix the bad and keep the goods
